As an avid snow skier I love a good winter time snow here in Oklahoma, but the last two weeks has been a little too much; even for me. More than anything I am sick of shoveling my driveway of the sometimes 5 foot high drifts that are collected in front of the garage door. It took me about 3 hours to get it entirely shoveled after Winter Storm #1. I vowed that I never wanted to do that again. Then Mother Nature laughed at me and sent Winter Storm #2. Luckily my shoveling time was only about 1/2 of what I spent during Storm #1. Needless to say I am ready for the snow to be out of here.
These two winter storms have now cost us 6 days of school, in addition to the day we lost in January due to ice (kind of!). The calendar should be updated by the end of the day on each of the class pages as we continue to lose class time. We will do our best to get things done in class and stay on the schedule from now on.
